Bible Verses About Reproof
Key Bible Verses
I indeed, absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged, as though I were present, him that hath so done,
In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, you being gathered together and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus:
To deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to be judged before the unjust: and not before the saints?
Know you not that the saints shall judge this world? And if the world shall be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
Know you not that we shall judge angels? How much more things of this world?
If therefore you have judgments of things pertaining to this world, set them to judge who are the most despised in the church.
I speak to your shame. Is it so that there is not among you any one wise man that is able to judge between his brethren?
But brother goeth to law with brother: and that before unbelievers.
Already indeed there is plainly a fault among you, that you have law suits one with another. Why do you not rather take wrong? Why do you not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?
But you do wrong and defraud: and that to your brethren.
Now this I ordain: not praising you, that you come together, not for the better, but for the worse.
For first of all I hear that when you come together in the church, there are schisms among you. And in part I believe it.
For there must be also heresies: that they also, who are approved may be made manifest among you.
When you come therefore together into one place, it is not now to eat the Lord's supper.
For every one taketh before his own supper to eat. And one indeed is hungry and another is drunk.
What, have you no houses to eat and to drink in? Or despise ye the church of God and put them to shame that have not? What shall I say to you? Do I praise you? In this I praise you not.
But when Cephas was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.
Am I then become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?
But doing the truth in charity, we may in all things grow up in him who is the head, even Christ:
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness: but rather reprove them.
But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for all that is made manifest is light.
That you may be blameless and sincere children of God, without reproof, in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation: among whom you shine as lights in the world.
As to the rest, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not wearisome, but to you is necessary.
And we beseech you, brethren, rebuke the unquiet: comfort the feeble minded: support the weak: be patient towards all men.
