  1. When he had said this, he cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!”

  2. He who was dead came out, bound hand and foot with wrappings, and his face was wrapped around with a cloth. Yeshua said to them, “Free him, and let him go.”

  4. The chief priests therefore and the Pharisees gathered a council, and said, “What are we doing? For this man does many signs.

  5. But the chief priests conspired to put Lazarus to death also,

  6. because on account of him many of the Judeans went away and believed in Yeshua.

  7. For this cause also the multitude went and met him, because they heard that he had done this sign.

  8. But though he had done so many signs before them, yet they didn’t believe in him,

  9. Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to my Father.

  10. If I hadn’t done among them the works which no one else did, they wouldn’t have had sin. But now have they seen and also hated both me and my Father.

  11. Therefore Yeshua did many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book;

  12. but these are written, that you may believe that Yeshua is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name.

  13. “Men of Israel, hear these words! Yeshua of Nazareth, a man approved by God to you by mighty works and wonders and signs which God did by him in your midst, even as you yourselves know,

  14. Peter and Yochanan were going up into the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour.

  15. A certain man who was lame from his mother’s womb was being carried, whom they laid daily at the door of the temple which is called Yafeh, to ask gifts for the needy of those who entered into the temple.

  16. Seeing Peter and Yochanan about to go into the temple, he asked to receive gifts for the needy.

  17. Peter, fastening his eyes on him, with Yochanan, said, “Look at us.”

  18. He listened to them, expecting to receive something from them.

  19. But Peter said, “Silver and gold have I none, but what I have, that I give you. In the name of Yeshua the Messiah of Nazareth, get up and walk!”

  20. He took him by the right hand, and raised him up. Immediately his feet and his ankle bones received strength.

  21. Leaping up, he stood, and began to walk. He entered with them into the temple, walking, leaping, and praising God.

  22. All the people saw him walking and praising God.

  23. They recognized him, that it was he who used to sit begging for gifts for the needy at the Yafeh Gate of the temple. They were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

  24. When Peter saw it, he responded to the people, “You men of Israel, why do you marvel at this man? Why do you fasten your eyes on us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made him walk?

  25. By faith in his name, his name has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which is through him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
