Як же зможемо ми заспівати Господнюю пісню в землі чужинця́?

Якщо́ я забу́ду за тебе, о Єрусалиме, — хай забуде за мене прави́ця моя!

Нехай мій язик до мого піднебі́ння прили́пне, якщо́ я не бу́ду тебе пам'ята́ти, якщо́ не поставлю я Єрусалима над радість найвищу свою́!..

Пам'ятай же, о Господи, едо́мським синам про день Єрусалиму, як кричали вони: „Руйнуйте, руйнуйте аж до підва́лин його́!“

Вавилонськая до́чко, що маєш і ти ограбо́вана бути, — блажен, хто заплатить тобі за твій чин, що ти нам заподі́яла!

Блажен, хто ухо́пить та порозбиває об скелю і твої немовля́та!

O give thanks unto the God of heaven: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Господи, — ви́пробував Ти мене та й пізнав,

Ти знаєш сиді́ння моє та встава́ння моє, думку мою розумієш здале́ка.
