  1. ¶ And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?

  14. And when ye did eat, and when ye did drink, did not ye eat for yourselves, and drink for yourselves?

  15. Who is there even among you that would shut the doors for nought? neither do ye kindle fire on mine altar for nought. I have no pleasure in you, saith the LORD of hosts, neither will I accept an offering at your hand.

  16. Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

  17. But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

  18. For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.

  19. And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.

  20. And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.

  21. But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.

  22. ¶ We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

  23. Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.

  24. For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.

  25. Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth.
