  13. They have now compassed us in our steps: they have set their eyes bowing down to the earth;

  14. Like as a lion that is greedy of his prey, and as it were a young lion lurking in secret places.

  15. Arise, O LORD, disappoint him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, which is thy sword:

  16. From men which are thy hand, O LORD, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure: they are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes.

  17. As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.

  18. ¶ A Psalm of David. Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide.

  19. Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.

  20. For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth.

  21. I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers.

  22. I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.

  23. ¶ I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O LORD:

  24. That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.

  25. LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth.
