  1. ¶ Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

  2. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

  3. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

  4. ¶ The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

  8. Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.

  9. My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

  10. For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.

  11. The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

  12. Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.

  13. ¶ But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.

  14. Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.

  15. For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.

  16. Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee.

  17. But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

  18. For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

  19. ¶ To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?

  20. For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.

  21. If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

  22. ¶ The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD'S throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.

  23. The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

  24. Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.

  25. For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.
