  1. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

  2. And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

  8. That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;

  9. Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:

  10. So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:

  11. Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

  12. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

  13. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

  14. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

  15. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

  16. To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

  17. To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

  18. But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

  19. But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

  20. Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

  21. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

  22. For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
