  1. ¶ A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth.

  2. He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers;

  3. These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

  4. A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

  5. An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

  6. A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

  7. ¶ He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.

  8. ¶ He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow: but a prating fool shall fall.

  9. ¶ The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.

  10. ¶ Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy.

  11. ¶ As a mad man who casteth firebrands, arrows, and death,

  12. So is the man that deceiveth his neighbour, and saith, Am not I in sport?

  13. ¶ He that hateth dissembleth with his lips, and layeth up deceit within him;

  14. When he speaketh fair, believe him not: for there are seven abominations in his heart.

  15. Whose hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness shall be shewed before the whole congregation.

  16. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.

  17. None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.

  18. For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them;

  19. In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.

  20. And they will deceive every one his neighbour, and will not speak the truth: they have taught their tongue to speak lies, and weary themselves to commit iniquity.

  21. Thine habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, saith the LORD.

  22. ¶ Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.

  23. By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.

  24. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

  25. Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
