  1. But God will shoote an arrowe at them suddenly: their strokes shalbe at once.

  2. For I feared at the foolish, when I sawe the prosperitie of the wicked.

  3. For there are no bandes in their death, but they are lustie and strong.

  4. They are not in trouble as other men, neither are they plagued with other men.

  5. Therefore pride is as a chayne vnto them, and crueltie couereth them as a garment.

  11. Lo, these are the wicked, yet prosper they alway, and increase in riches.

  12. Certainely I haue clensed mine heart in vaine, and washed mine hands in innocencie.

  13. For dayly haue I bene punished, and chastened euery morning.

  14. If I say, I will iudge thus, beholde the generation of thy children: I haue trespassed.

  15. Then thought I to know this, but it was too painefull for me,

  16. Vntill I went into the Sanctuarie of God: then vnderstoode I their ende.

  17. Surely thou hast set them in slipperie places, and castest them downe into desolation.

  18. How suddenly are they destroyed, perished and horribly consumed,

  19. He made a way to his anger: he spared not their soule from death, but gaue their life to the pestilence,

  20. Doubtlesse with thine eyes shalt thou beholde and see the reward of the wicked.

  21. (When the wicked growe as the grasse, and all the workers of wickednesse doe flourish) that they shall be destroyed for euer.

  22. And hee will recompence them their wickednes, and destroy them in their owne malice: yea, the Lord our God shall destroy them.

  23. And a fruitfull land into barrennes for the wickednes of them that dwell therein.

  24. Though hande ioyne in hande, the wicked shall not be vnpunished: but the seede of the righteous shall escape.

  25. Beholde, the righteous shalbe recompensed in the earth: howe much more the wicked and the sinner?
