The mountaines and the hilles shall bring peace to the people by iustice.
In his dayes shall the righteous florish, and abundance of peace shalbe so long as the moone endureth.
To him that excelleth. A Psalme committed to the sonnes of Korah. Lord, thou hast bene fauourable vnto thy land: thou hast brought againe the captiuitie of Iaakob.
Thou hast forgiuen the iniquitie of thy people, and couered all their sinnes. Selah.
Thou hast withdrawen all thine anger, and hast turned backe from the fiercenes of thy wrath.
Turne vs, O God of our saluation, and release thine anger toward vs.
Wilt thou be angry with vs for euer? and wilt thou prolong thy wrath from one generation to another?
Wilt thou not turne againe and quicken vs, that thy people may reioyce in thee?
Shew vs thy mercie, O Lord, and graunt vs thy saluation.
Blessed is the people, that can reioyce in thee: they shall walke in the light of thy countenance, O Lord.
They shall reioyce continually in thy Name, and in thy righteousnes shall they exalt them selues.
For thou art the glory of their strength, and by thy fauour our hornes shall be exalted.
For our shield apperteineth to the Lord, and our King to the holy one of Israel.
Yea, thou shalt see thy childrens children, and peace vpon Israel.
For he hath made the barres of thy gates strong, and hath blessed thy children within thee.
He setteth peace in thy borders, and satisfieth thee with the floure of wheate.
Iustice exalteth a nation, but sinne is a shame to the people.
A time to loue, and a time to hate: a time of warre, and a time of peace.
And he shall iudge among the nations, and rebuke many people: they shall breake their swords also into mattocks, and their speares into siethes: nation shall not lift vp a sworde against nation, neither shall they learne to fight any more.
Then shalt thou take vp this prouerbe against the King of Babel, and say, Howe hath the oppressor ceased? and the gold thirsty Babel rested?
The Lord hath broken the rodde of the wicked, and the scepter of the rulers:
Which smote the people in anger with a continuall plague, and ruled the nations in wrath: if any were persecuted, he did not let.
The whole worlde is at rest and is quiet: they sing for ioye.
This is the counsell that is consulted vpon the whole worlde, and this is the hande stretched out ouer all the nations,
Because the Lord of hostes hath determined it, and who shall disanull it? and his hande is stretched out, and who shall turne it away?
