  1. A foolish woman is troublesome: she is ignorant, and knoweth nothing.

  2. But she sitteth at the doore of her house on a seate in the hie places of the citie,

  3. To call them that passe by the way, that go right on their way, saying,

  4. Who so is simple, let him come hither, and to him that is destitute of wisedome, shee sayth also,

  5. Stollen waters are sweete, and hid bread is pleasant.

  6. But he knoweth not, that ye dead are there, and that her ghestes are in the depth of hell.

  7. Withhold not correction from the childe: if thou smite him with the rodde, he shall not die.

  8. Thou shalt smite him with the rodde, and shalt deliuer his soule from hell.

  9. Wherefore if thy right eye cause thee to offend, plucke it out, and cast it from thee: for better it is for thee, that one of thy members perish, then that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

  10. Also if thy right hand make thee to offend, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for better it is for thee that one of thy members perish, then that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

  11. Enter in at the streight gate: for it is the wide gate, and broade way that leadeth to destruction: and many there be which goe in thereat,

  12. Because the gate is streight, and the way narowe that leadeth vnto life, and fewe there be that finde it.

  13. But I say vnto you, that many shall come from the East and West, and shall sit downe with Abraham, and Isaac, and Iacob, in the kingdome of heauen.

  14. And the children of the kingdome shall be cast out into vtter darkenes: there shalbe weeping and gnashing of teeth.

  15. And the field is the worlde, and the good seede are the children of the kingdome, and the tares are the children of that wicked one.

  16. And the enemie that soweth them, is the deuill, and the haruest is the end of the worlde, and the reapers be the Angels.

  17. As then the tares are gathered and burned in ye fire, so shall it be in the end of this world.

  18. The Sonne of man shall send forth his Angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which doe iniquitie,

  19. And shall cast them into a fornace of fire. There shalbe wailing and gnashing of teeth.

  20. So shall it be at the end of the world. The Angels shall goe foorth, and seuer the bad from among the iust,

  21. And shall cast them into a fornace of fire: there shalbe wailing, and gnashing of teeth.

  22. Wherefore, if thy hand or thy foote cause thee to offend, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life, halt, or maimed, then hauing two hands, or two feete, to be cast into euerlasting fire.

  23. And if thine eye cause thee to offende, plucke it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, then hauing two eyes to be cast into hell fire.

  24. So his Lord was wroth, and deliuered him to the tormentours, till he should pay all that was due to him.

  25. So likewise shall mine heauenly Father doe vnto you, except ye forgiue from your hearts, eche one to his brother their trespasses.
