  1. But death reigned from Adam unto Moses, even over them also who have not sinned, after the similitude of the transgression of Adam, who is a figure of him who was to come.

  2. But not as the offence, so also the gift. For if by the offence of one, many died: much more the grace of God and the gift, by the grace of one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

  3. And not as it was by one sin, so also is the gift. For judgment indeed was by one unto condemnation: but grace is of many offences unto justification.

  10. Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them that committed fornication: and there fell in one day three and twenty thousand.

  11. Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them tempted and perished by the serpent.

  12. Neither do you murmur, as some of them murmured and were destroyed by the destroyer.

  13. Now all these things happened to them in figure: and they are written for our correction, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

  14. For we must all be manifested before the judgment seat of Christ, that every one may receive the proper things of the body, according as he hath done, whether it be good or evil.

  15. For what things a man shall sow, those also shall he reap. For he that soweth in his flesh of the flesh also shall reap corruption. But he that soweth in the spirit of the spirit shall reap life everlasting.

  16. Let no man deceive you with vain words. For because of these things cometh the anger of God upon the children of unbelief.

  17. For when they shall say: Peace and security; then shall sudden destruction come upon them, as the pains upon her that is with child, and they shall not escape.

  18. Seeing it is a just thing with God to repay tribulation to them that trouble you:

  19. In a flame of fire, giving vengeance to them who know not God and who obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  20. Who shall suffer eternal punishment in destruction, from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his power:

  21. For if the word spoken by angels became steadfast and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward:

  22. And to whom did he swear, that they should not enter into his rest: but to them that were incredulous?

  23. And we see that they could not enter in, because of unbelief.

  24. For unto us also it hath been declared in like manner as unto them. But the word of hearing did not profit them, not being mixed with faith of those things they heard.
