  1. And withal being idle they learn to go about from house to house: and are not only idle, but tattlers also and busy bodies, speaking things which they ought not.

  7. Detract not one another, my brethren. He that detracteth his brother, or he that judgeth his brother, detracteth the law and judgeth the law. But if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.

  8. There is one lawgiver and judge, that is able to destroy and to deliver.

  9. Wherefore laying away all malice and all guile and dissimulations and envies and all detractions,

  10. Having your conversation good among the Gentiles: that whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by the good works which they shall behold in you, glorify God in the day of visitation.

  11. For he that will love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile.

  12. But with modesty and fear, having a good conscience: that whereas they speak evil of you, they may be ashamed who falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.

  13. Wherein they think it strange that you run not with them into the same confusion of riotousness: speaking evil of you.

  14. And especially them who walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise government: audacious, self willed, they fear not to bring in sects, blaspheming.

  15. In like manner, these men also defile the flesh and despise dominion and blaspheme majesty.

  16. And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying: Now is come salvation and strength and the kingdom of our God and the power of his Christ: because the accuser of our brethren is cast forth, who accused them before our God day and night.
