  1. Turn not away thy face from me: in the day when I am in trouble, incline thy ear to me. In what day soever I shall call upon thee, hear me speedily.

  10. Instead of making me a return of love, they detracted me: but I gave myself to prayer.

  11. And they repaid me evil for good: and hatred for my love.

  12. Set thou the sinner over him: and may the devil stand at his right hand.

  13. When he is judged, may he go out condemned; and may his prayer be turned to sin.

  14. May his days be few: and his bishopric let another take.

  15. May his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.

  16. Let his children be carried about vagabonds, and beg; and let them be cast out of their dwellings.

  17. May the usurer search all his substance: and let strangers plunder his labours.

  18. May there be none to help him: nor none to pity his fatherless offspring.

  19. May his posterity be cut off; in one generation may his name be blotted out.

  20. I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; in the council of the just, and in the congregation.

  21. Great are the works of the Lord: sought out according to all his wills.

  22. His work is praise and magnificence: and his justice continueth for ever and ever.

  23. He hath made a remembrance of his wonderful works, being a merciful and gracious Lord:

  24. He hath given food to them that fear him. He will be mindful for ever of his covenant:

  25. He will shew forth to his people the power of his works.
