Ask, and it shall be given you: seek, and you shall find: knock, and it shall be opened to you.
And Jesus answering, said to them: Amen, I say to you, if you shall have faith and stagger not, not only this of the fig tree shall you do, but also if you shall say to this mountain, Take up and cast thyself into the sea, it shall be done.
Woe to you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you devour the houses of widows, praying long prayers. For this you shall receive the greater judgment.
But the angel said to him: Fear not, Zachary, for thy prayer is heard: and thy wife Elizabeth shall bear thee a son. And thou shalt call his name John.
And will not God revenge his elect who cry to him day and night? And will he have patience in their regard?
The Pharisee standing, prayed thus with himself: O God, I give thee thanks that I am not as the rest of men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, as also is this publican.
I fast twice in a week: I give tithes of all that I possess.
I say to you, this man went down into his house justified rather than the other: because every one that exalteth himself shall be humbled: and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
And he cried out, saying: Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me.
Saying; What wilt thou that I do to thee? But he said: Lord, that I may see.
And Jesus said to him: Receive thy sight: thy faith hath made thee whole.
And immediately he saw and followed him, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.
And he said to Jesus: Lord, remember me when thou shalt come into thy kingdom.
And Jesus said to him: Amen I say to thee: This day thou shalt be with me in paradise.
Jesus answered and said to her: If thou didst know the gift of God and who he is that saith to thee: Give me to drink; thou perhaps wouldst have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
But the water that I will give him shall become in him a fountain of water, springing up into life everlasting.
Now we know that God doth not hear sinners: but if a man be a server of God and doth his, will, him he heareth.
And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people who stand about have I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
Because I go to the Father: and whatsoever you shall ask the Father in my name, that will I do: that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
If you shall ask me any thing in my name, that I will do.
If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you shall ask whatever you will: and it shall be done unto you.
And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants that with all confidence they may speak thy word,
By stretching forth thy hand to cures and signs and wonders, to be done by the name of thy holy Son, Jesus.
And when they had prayed, the place was moved wherein they were assembled: and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost: and they spoke the word of God with confidence.
And he, beholding him. being seized with fear, said: What is it, Lord? And he said to him: Thy prayers and thy alms are ascended for a memorial in the sight of God.
