Jesus

And when the blood of Stephen thy witness was shed, I stood by and consented: and kept the garments of them that killed him.

And he said to me: Go, for unto the Gentiles afar off will I send thee.

And the night following, the Lord standing by him, said: Be constant: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome.

And after some days, Felix, coming with Drusilla his wife, who was a Jew, sent for Paul and heard of him the faith that is in Christ Jesus.

But had certain questions of their own superstition against him, and of one Jesus deceased, whom Paul affirmed to be alive.

And I indeed did formerly think that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

And when we were all fallen down on the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me in the Hebrew tongue: Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? It is hard for thee to kick against the good.

And I said: Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord answered: I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.

But rise up and stand upon thy feet: for to this end have I appeared to thee, that I may make thee a minister and a witness of those things which thou hast seen and of those things wherein I will appear to thee,

Delivering thee from the people and from the nations unto which now I send thee:

To open their eyes, that they may be converted from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a lot among the saints, by the faith that is in me.

That Christ should suffer and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead and should shew light to the people and to the Gentiles.

And when they had appointed him a day, there came very many to him unto his lodgings. To whom he expounded, testifying the kingdom of God and persuading them concerning Jesus, out of the law of Moses and the prophets, from morning until evening.

Preaching the kingdom of God and teaching the things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, without prohibition.

Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God.

Concerning his Son, who was made to him of the seed of David, according to the flesh,

Who was predestinated the Son of God in power, according to the spirit of sanctification, by the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead:

By whom we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith, in all nations, for his name:

Among whom are you also the called of Jesus Christ:

To all that are at Rome, the beloved of God, called to be saints. Grace to you and peace, from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

First, I give thanks to my God, through Jesus Christ, for you all: because your faith is spoken of in the whole world.

For God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make a commemoration of you:

For I am not ashamed of the gospel. For it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth: to the Jew first and to the Greek.

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made. His eternal power also and divinity: so that they are inexcusable.

In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel.
