  1. Yeshua said to him, "If you are serious about reaching the goal, go and sell your possessions, give to the poor, and you will have riches in heaven. Then come, follow me!"

  2. But when the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he was wealthy.

  3. Yeshua said to them, "Yes. I tell you that in the regenerated world, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones and judge the twelve tribes of Isra'el.

  4. Everyone who has left houses, brothers, sisters, father, mother, children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times more, and he will obtain eternal life.

  5. As Yeshua was going up to Yerushalayim, he took the twelve talmidim aside by themselves and said to them, as they went on their way,

  6. "We are now going up to Yerushalayim, where the Son of Man will be handed over to the head cohanim and Torah-teachers. They will sentence him to death

  7. and turn him over to the Goyim, who will jeer at him, beat him and execute him on a stake as a criminal. But on the third day, he will be raised."

  8. "Now listen to another parable. There was a farmer who planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a pit for the winepress and built a tower; then he rented it to tenants and left.

  9. When harvest-time came, he sent his servants to the tenants to collect his share of the crop.

  10. But the tenants seized his servants -- this one they beat up, that one they killed, another they stoned.

  11. So he sent some other servants, more than the first group, and they did the same to them.

  12. Finally, he sent them his son, saying, `My son they will respect.'

  13. But when the tenants saw the son, they said to each other, `This is the heir. Come, let's kill him and take his inheritance!'

  14. So they grabbed him, threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.

  15. Now when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?"

  16. They answered him, "He will viciously destroy those vicious men and rent out the vineyard to other tenants who will give him his share of the crop when it's due."

  17. Yeshua said to them, "Haven't you ever read in the Tanakh, `The very rock which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone! This has come from ADONAI, and in our eyes it is amazing'?

  18. Therefore, I tell you that the Kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to the kind of people that will produce its fruit!"

  19. Whoever falls on this stone will be broken in pieces; but if it falls on him, he will be crushed to powder!"

  20. As the head cohanim and the P'rushim listened to his stories, they saw that he was speaking about them.

  21. "The Kingdom of Heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding feast for his son,

  22. but when he sent his slaves to summon the invited guests to the wedding, they refused to come.

  23. So he sent some more slaves, instructing them to tell the guests, `Look, I've prepared my banquet, I've slaughtered my bulls and my fattened cattle, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding!'

  24. But they weren't interested and went off, one to his farm, another to his business;

  25. and the rest grabbed his slaves, mistreated them and killed them.
