We have to pay to drink our own water; we have to buy our own wood.
They will throw their silver into the streets; their gold will be like something unclean. On the day of ADONAI's wrath their silver and gold won't be able to rescue them. These things won't satisfy their hunger, these things won't fill their stomachs, because these are what caused them to sin.
By your wisdom and discernment you have acquired wealth, you have gathered gold and silver into your treasuries.
You say, "When will Rosh-Hodesh be over, so we can market our grain? and Shabbat, so we can sell wheat?" You measure the grain in a small eifah, but the silver in heavy shekels, fixing the scales, so that you can cheat,
Her leaders sell verdicts for bribes, her cohanim teach for a price, her prophets divine for money - yet they claim to rely on ADONAI! "Isn't ADONAI here with us?" they say. "No evil can come upon us."
I said to them, "If it seems good to you, give me my wages; if not, don't." So they weighed out my wages, thirty silver [shekels, that is, twelve ounces].
Upon entering the house, they saw the child with his mother Miryam; and they prostrated themselves and worshipped him. Then they opened their bags and presented him gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.
Yes indeed! I tell you, you will certainly not get out until you have paid the last penny.
Don't take money in your belts, no gold, no silver, no copper;

"The Emperor's," they replied. Yeshua said to them, "Nu, give the Emperor what belongs to the Emperor. And give to God what belongs to God!"
But the one given one talent went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master's money.
Then you should have deposited my money with the bankers, so that when I returned, I would at least have gotten back interest with my capital!
When Y'hudah, who had betrayed him, saw that Yeshua had been condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty silver coins to the head cohanim and elders,
Hurling the pieces of silver into the sanctuary, he left; then he went off and hanged himself.
Then they met with the elders; and after discussing the matter, they gave the soldiers a sizeable sum of money
The soldiers took the money and did as they were told, and this story has been spread about by Judeans till this very day.
He instructed them, "Take nothing for your trip except a walking stick -- no bread, no pack, no money in your belt.
But he answered them, "Give them something to eat, yourselves!" They replied, "We are to go and spend thousands on bread, and give it to them to eat?"
Then Yeshua sat down opposite the Temple treasury and watched the crowd as they put money into the offering-boxes. Many rich people put in large sums,
but a poor widow came and put in two small coins.
They were pleased to hear this and promised to give him money. And he began looking for a good opportunity to betray Yeshua.
