  1. God said, “Let there be a dome in the middle of the water; let it divide the water from the water.”

  2. God made the dome and divided the water under the dome from the water above the dome; that is how it was,

  3. To Adam he said, “Because you listened to what your wife said and ate from the tree about which I gave you the order, ‘You are not to eat from it,’ the ground is cursed on your account; you will work hard to eat from it as long as you live.

  4. It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat field plants.

  5. In the beginning, you laid the foundations of the earth; heaven is the work of your hands.

  6. They will vanish, but you will remain; like clothing, they will all grow old; yes, you will change them like clothing, and they will pass away.

  7. But you remain the same, and your years will never end.

  8. You fixed the earth on its foundations, never to be moved.

  9. You covered it with the deep like a garment; the waters stood above the mountains.

  10. At your rebuke they fled; at the sound of your thunder they rushed away,

  11. flowing over hills, pouring into valleys, down to the place you had fixed for them.

  12. You determined a boundary they could not cross; they were never to cover the earth again.

  13. The earth cracks and breaks open, the earth crumbles to pieces, the earth trembles and totters.

  14. The earth staggers to and fro like a drunk, sways back and forth like a watchman's shelter; its transgression weighs heavy upon it; it will fall and not rise again.

  15. "But immediately following the trouble of those times, the sun will grow dark, the moon will stop shining, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers in heaven will be shaken.

  16. "Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, all the tribes of the Land will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with tremendous power and glory.

  17. He will send out his angels with a great shofar and they will gather together his chosen people from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

  18. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

  19. "But when that day and hour will come, no one knows -- not the angels in heaven, not the Son, only the Father.

  20. For the Son of Man's coming will be just as it was in the days of Noach.

  21. Back then, before the Flood, people went on eating and drinking, taking wives and becoming wives, right up till the day Noach entered the ark;

  22. and they didn't know what was happening until the Flood came and swept them all away. It will be just like that when the Son of Man comes.

  23. In those days, after that trouble, the sun will grow dark, the moon will stop shining,

  24. the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers in heaven will be shaken.z

  25. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with tremendous power and glory.
