  1. And he said unto them, This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many.

  2. And they offered him wine mingled with myrrh: but he received it not.

  10. And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, offering him vinegar,

  11. And when the wine failed, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.

  12. And when the ruler of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and knew not whence it was (but the servants that had drawn the water knew), the ruler of the feast calleth the bridegroom,

  13. and saith unto him, Every man setteth on first the good wine; and when men have drunk freely, then that which is worse: thou hast kept the good wine until now.

  14. Jesus therefore said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, ye have not life in yourselves.

  15. He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

  16. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.

  17. He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood abideth in me, and I in him.

  18. There was set there a vessel full of vinegar: so they put a sponge full of the vinegar upon hyssop, and brought it to his mouth.

  19. It is good not to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor to do anything whereby thy brother stumbleth.

  20. And be not drunken with wine, wherein is riot, but be filled with the Spirit;

  21. Be no longer a drinker of water, but use a little wine for thy stomach’s sake and thine often infirmities.

  22. that aged women likewise be reverent in demeanor, not slanderers nor enslaved to much wine, teachers of that which is good;
