  1. Confess therefore your sins one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The supplication of a righteous man availeth much in its working.

  10. Finally, be ye all likeminded, compassionate, loving as brethren, tenderhearted, humbleminded:

  11. not rendering evil for evil, or reviling for reviling; but contrariwise blessing; for hereunto were ye called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

  12. For, He that would love life, And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips that they speak no guile:

  13. And let him turn away from evil, and do good; Let him seek peace, and pursue it.

  14. For the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, And his ears unto their supplication: But the face of the Lord is upon them that do evil.

  15. But even if ye should suffer for righteousness’ sake, blessed are ye: and fear not their fear, neither be troubled;

  16. that ye no longer should live the rest of your time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

  17. Yea, and for this very cause adding on your part all diligence, in your faith supply virtue; and in your virtue knowledge;

  18. and in your knowledge self-control; and in your self-control patience; and in your patience godliness;

  19. and in your godliness brotherly kindness; and in your brotherly kindness love.

  20. For if these things are yours and abound, they make you to be not idle nor unfruitful unto the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  21. For he that lacketh these things is blind, seeing only what is near, having forgotten the cleansing from his old sins.

  22. and spared not the ancient world, but preserved Noah with seven others, a preacher of righteousness, when he brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly;

  23. (for that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their lawless deeds):

  24. And hereby we know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

  25. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him;
