  1. And going on from thence he saw two other brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.

  9. John said unto him, Teacher, we saw one casting out demons in thy name; and we forbade him, because he followed not us.

  10. And there come near unto him James and John, the sons of Zebedee, saying unto him, Teacher, we would that thou shouldest do for us whatsoever we shall ask of thee.

  11. And when the ten heard it, they began to be moved with indignation concerning James and John.

  12. And as he sat on the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,

  13. And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be greatly amazed, and sore troubled.

  14. and so were also James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men.

  15. Simon, whom he also named Peter, and Andrew his brother, and James and John, and Philip and Bartholomew,

  16. And when he came to the house, he suffered not any man to enter in with him, save Peter, and John, and James, and the father of the maiden and her mother.

  17. And it came to pass about eight days after these sayings, that he took with him Peter and John and James, and went up into the mountain to pray.

  18. And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out demons in thy name; and we forbade him, because he followeth not with us.

  19. And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we bid fire to come down from heaven, and consume them?

  20. And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and make ready for us the passover, that we may eat.

  21. And when they were come in, they went up into the upper chamber, where they were abiding; both Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphæus, and Simon the Zealot, and Judas the son of James.

  22. Now Peter and John were going up into the temple at the hour of prayer, beingthe ninth hour.

  23. who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked to receive an alms.

  24. And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him, with John, said, Look on us.

  25. And as he held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.
