  1. And he, having lifted up his eyes to his disciples, said: `Happy the poor--because yours is the reign of God.

  2. be ye therefore merciful, as also your Father is merciful.

  10. and he answering said unto them, `My mother and my brethren! they are those who the word of God are hearing, and doing.'

  11. and having seen Jesus, and having cried out, he fell before him, and with a loud voice, said, `What--to me and to thee, Jesus, Son of God Most High? I beseech thee, mayest thou not afflict me!'

  12. `Turn back to thy house, and tell how great things God did to thee;' and he went away through all the city proclaiming how great things Jesus did to him.

  13. and he sent them to proclaim the reign of God, and to heal the ailing.

  14. and the multitudes having known did follow him, and having received them, he was speaking to them concerning the reign of God, and those having need of service he cured.

  15. and he said to them, `And ye--who do ye say me to be?' and Peter answering said, `The Christ of God.'

  16. `For whoever may be ashamed of me, and of my words, of this one shall the Son of Man be ashamed, when he may come in his glory, and the Father's, and the holy messengers';

  17. and I say to you, truly, there are certain of those here standing, who shall not taste of death till they may see the reign of God.'

  18. And they were all amazed at the greatness of God, and while all are wondering at all things that Jesus did, he said unto his disciples,

  19. and said to them, `Whoever may receive this child in my name, doth receive me, and whoever may receive me, doth receive Him who sent me, for he who is least among you all--he shall be great.'

  20. and Jesus said to him, `Suffer the dead to bury their own dead, and thou, having gone away, publish the reign of God.'

  21. and Jesus said unto him, `No one having put his hand on a plough, and looking back, is fit for the reign of God.'

  22. and heal the ailing in it, and say to them, The reign of God hath come nigh to you.

  23. And the dust that hath cleaved to us, from your city, we do wipe off against you, but this know ye, that the reign of God hath come nigh to you;

  24. `He who is hearing you, doth hear me; and he who is putting you away, doth put me away; and he who is putting me away, doth put away Him who sent me.'

  25. In that hour was Jesus glad in the Spirit, and said, `I do confess to thee, Father, Lord of the heaven and of the earth, that Thou didst hide these things from wise men and understanding, and didst reveal them to babes; yes, Father, because so it became good pleasure before Thee.
