  1. So Moses wrote this song the same day, and taught it the children of Israel.

  2. He commissioned Joshua the son of Nun, and said, “Be strong and courageous; for you shall bring the children of Israel into the land which I swore to them. I will be with you.”

  3. Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD, the LORD spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ servant, saying,

  4. “Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you, and all this people, to the land which I give to them, even to the children of Israel.

  5. I have given you every place that the sole of your foot will tread on, as I told Moses.

  6. From the wilderness, and this Lebanon, even to the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your border.

  7. No man will be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not fail you nor forsake you.

  8. “Be strong and courageous; for you shall cause this people to inherit the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.

  9. Only be strong and very courageous, to observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded you. Don’t turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go.

  10. This scroll of the Torah shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.

  11. Haven’t I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid, neither be dismayed: for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

  12. He said to me, Son of man, go to the house of Israel, and speak my words to them.

  13. For the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth; for he is the messenger of the LORD of Hosts.

  14. Yeshua sent these twelve out, and commanded them, saying, “Don’t go among the Gentiles, and don’t enter into any city of the Samaritans.

  15. Rather, go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

  16. As you go, proclaim, saying, ‘The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!’

  17. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, and cast out demons. Freely you received, so freely give.

  18. Don’t take any gold, nor silver, nor brass in your money belts.

  19. Take no bag for your journey, neither two coats, nor shoes, nor staff: for the laborer is worthy of his food.

  20. Into whatever city or village you enter, find out who in it is worthy; and stay there until you go on.

  21. As you enter into the household, greet it.

  22. If the household is worthy, let your peace come on it, but if it isn’t worthy, let your peace return to you.

  23. Whoever doesn’t receive you, nor hear your words, as you go out of that house or that city, shake off the dust from your feet.

  24. Most certainly I tell you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city.

  25. “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
