Therefore when the Lord knew that the Pharisees had heard that Yeshua was making and immersing more disciples than Yochanan

You have sent to Yochanan, and he has testified to the truth.

But the testimony which I have is greater than that of Yochanan, for the works which the Father gave me to accomplish, the very works that I do, testify about me, that the Father has sent me.

He went away again beyond the Jordan into the place where Yochanan was immersing at first, and there he stayed.

Many came to him. They said, “Yochanan indeed did no sign, but everything that Yochanan said about this man is true.”

For Yochanan indeed immersed in water, but you will be immersed in the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

beginning from the immersion of Yochanan, to the day that he was received up from us, of these one must become a witness with us of his resurrection.”

you yourselves know what happened, which was proclaimed throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee, after the immersion which Yochanan preached;

As Yochanan was fulfilling his course, he said, ‘What do you suppose that I am? I am not he. But behold, one comes after me the sandals of whose feet I am not worthy to untie.’

This man had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things concerning Yeshua, although he knew only the immersion of Yochanan.

He said, “Into what then were you immersed?” They said, “Into Yochanan’s immersion.”

Paul said, “Yochanan indeed immersed with the immersion of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe in the one who would come after him, that is, in Yeshua.”
