  1. Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;

  10. ¶ Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

  11. Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.

  12. But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

  13. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

  14. But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

  15. Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.

  16. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

  17. That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

  18. That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:

  19. For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

  20. ¶ Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,

  21. In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

  22. ¶ Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.

  23. That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

  24. And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
