But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.
¶ The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.
¶ The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.
The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.
¶ The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out.
¶ The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.
The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness.
¶ When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust men perisheth.
¶ The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward.
¶ As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death.
¶ He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.
¶ He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.
¶ The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble.
¶ A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.
¶ There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.
¶ The righteous is more excellent than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduceth them.
¶ A righteous man hateth lying: but a wicked man is loathsome, and cometh to shame.
¶ Righteousness keepeth him that is upright in the way: but wickedness overthroweth the sinner.
¶ Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.
¶ He that soweth iniquity shall reap vanity: and the rod of his anger shall fail.
¶ As a bird that wandereth from her nest, so is a man that wandereth from his place.
¶ The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.
¶ In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare: but the righteous doth sing and rejoice.
Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness.
¶ The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.
