  1. But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.

  10. And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

  11. And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.

  12. Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

  13. But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?

  14. And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.

  15. Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?

  16. And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

  17. And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

  18. And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done.

  19. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

  20. And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

  21. And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

  22. Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:

  23. But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,

  24. In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;

  25. By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,
