  1. Then shall he bring it to the priest, and the priest shall take his handful of it, even a memorial thereof, and burn it on the altar, according to the offerings made by fire unto the LORD: it is a sin offering.

  2. And the priest shall make an atonement for him as touching his sin that he hath sinned in one of these, and it shall be forgiven him: and the remnant shall be the priest's, as a meat offering.

  3. ¶ And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

  4. If a soul commit a trespass, and sin through ignorance, in the holy things of the LORD; then he shall bring for his trespass unto the LORD a ram without blemish out of the flocks, with thy estimation by shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary, for a trespass offering:

  5. And he shall make amends for the harm that he hath done in the holy thing, and shall add the fifth part thereto, and give it unto the priest: and the priest shall make an atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering, and it shall be forgiven him.

  6. And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the LORD; though he wist it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.

  7. And he shall bring a ram without blemish out of the flock, with thy estimation, for a trespass offering, unto the priest: and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his ignorance wherein he erred and wist it not, and it shall be forgiven him.

  8. It is a trespass offering: he hath certainly trespassed against the LORD.

  9. ¶ And if ye have erred, and not observed all these commandments, which the LORD hath spoken unto Moses,

  10. Even all that the LORD hath commanded you by the hand of Moses, from the day that the LORD commanded Moses, and henceforward among your generations;

  11. Then it shall be, if ought be committed by ignorance without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one young bullock for a burnt offering, for a sweet savour unto the LORD, with his meat offering, and his drink offering, according to the manner, and one kid of the goats for a sin offering.

  12. And the priest shall make an atonement for all the congregation of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them; for it is ignorance: and they shall bring their offering, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD, and their sin offering before the LORD, for their ignorance:

  13. And it shall be forgiven all the congregation of the children of Israel, and the stranger that sojourneth among them; seeing all the people were in ignorance.

  14. And if any soul sin through ignorance, then he shall bring a she goat of the first year for a sin offering.

  15. And the priest shall make an atonement for the soul that sinneth ignorantly, when he sinneth by ignorance before the LORD, to make an atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him.

  16. Ye shall have one law for him that sinneth through ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them.

  17. ¶ Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?

  18. It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know?

  19. But where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding?

  20. Man knoweth not the price thereof; neither is it found in the land of the living.

  21. ¶ Whence then cometh wisdom? and where is the place of understanding?

  22. Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living, and kept close from the fowls of the air.

  23. Dost thou know when God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud to shine?

  24. Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge?

  25. ¶ For at the window of my house I looked through my casement,
