  1. That which is far off, and exceeding deep, who can find it out?

  2. ¶ Because to every purpose there is time and judgment, therefore the misery of man is great upon him.

  3. For he knoweth not that which shall be: for who can tell him when it shall be?

  4. But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;

  5. And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

  6. For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

  7. But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

  8. ¶ Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

  9. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

  10. Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

  11. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

  12. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

  13. For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:

  14. And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.

  15. But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,

  16. To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

  17. Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

  18. Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

  19. ¶ And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;

  20. Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

  21. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

  22. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
