¶ But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

[To be] discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:
Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly [is] ready, but the flesh [is] weak.

But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know [these things] before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

¶ Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and [his] doctrine be not blasphemed.
Defraud ye not one the other, except [it be] with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.
And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and [to] Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think [of men] above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another.
