  1. And when the Lord hath giuen you the bread of aduersitie, and the water of affliction, thy raine shalbe no more kept backe, but thine eyes shall see thy raine.

  2. I haue set watchmen vpon thy walles, O Ierusalem, which all the day and all the night continually shall not cease: ye that are mindfull of the Lord, keepe not silence,

  7. The seede is rotten vnder their cloddes: the garners are destroyed: the barnes are broken downe, for the corne is withered.

  8. For the Priestes lippes shoulde preserue knowledge, and they shoulde seeke the Lawe at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the Lord of hostes.

  9. And he sayd vnto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

  10. Wherefore pray the Lord of the haruest, that he woulde sende foorth labourers into his haruest.

  11. Then Iesus said vnto them, Folow me, and I will make you to be fishers of men.

  12. As they haue deliuered them vnto vs, which from the beginning saw them their selues, and were ministers of ye word,

  13. And when it was day, he called his disciples, and of them he chose twelue which also he called Apostles.

  14. But yee shall receiue power of the holy Ghost, when he shall come on you: and ye shalbe witnesses vnto me both in Hierusalem and in all Iudea, and in Samaria, and vnto the vttermost part of the earth.

  15. And we are his witnesses concerning these things which we say: yea, and the holy Ghost, whome God hath giuen to them that obey him.

  16. And in those dayes, as the nomber of ye disciples grewe, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians towards ye Hebrewes, because their widowes were neglected in the dayly ministring.

  17. Take heede therefore vnto your selues, and to all the flocke, whereof the holy Ghost hath made you Ouerseers, to feede the Church of God, which hee hath purchased with that his owne blood.

  18. But rise and stand vp on thy feete: for I haue appeared vnto thee for this purpose, to appoint thee a minister and a witnesse, both of the things which thou hast seene, and of the things in the which I will appeare vnto thee,

  19. But how shall they call on him, in whome they haue not beleeued? and how shall they beleeue in him, of whom they haue not heard? and howe shall they heare without a preacher?

  20. That I should be the minister of Iesus Christ toward the Gentiles, ministring the Gospel of God, that the offering vp of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the holy Ghost.

  21. Let a man so thinke of vs, as of the ministers of Christ, and disposers of the secrets of God:

  22. Who also hath made vs able ministers of the Newe testament, not of the letter, but of the Spirite: for the letter killeth, but the Spirite giueth life.

  23. For we preach not our selues, but Christ Iesus the Lord, and our selues your seruaunts for Iesus sake.

  24. Now then are we ambassadours for Christ: as though God did beseeche you through vs, we pray you in Christes steade, that ye be reconciled to God.

  25. So we therefore as workers together beseech you, that ye receiue not the grace of God in vaine.
