  1. Then all flesh perished that moued vpon the earth, both foule and cattell and beast, and euery thing that creepeth and moueth vpon the earth, and euery man.

  2. Euery thing in whose nostrels the spirit of life did breathe, whatsoeuer they were in the drie land, they died.

  9. Then the Amalekites and the Canaanites, which dwelt in that mountaine, came downe and smote them, and consumed them vnto Hormah.

  10. At thy rebuke, O God of Iaakob, both the chariot and horse are cast a sleepe.

  11. Thou, euen thou art to be feared: and who shall stand in thy sight, when thou art angrie!

  12. Thou didest cause thy iudgement to bee heard from heauen: therefore the earth feared and was still,

  13. Hee cast vpon them the fiercenesse of his anger, indignation and wrath, and vexation by the sending out of euill Angels.

  14. He made a way to his anger: he spared not their soule from death, but gaue their life to the pestilence,

  15. And smote al the firstborne in Egypt, euen the beginning of their strength in the tabernacles of Ham.

  16. But if his children forsake my Lawe, and walke not in my iudgements:

  17. If they breake my statutes, and keepe not my commandements:

  18. Then will I visite their transgression with the rod, and their iniquitie with strokes.

  19. For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.

  20. Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, and our secret sinnes in the light of thy countenance.

  21. For all our dayes are past in thine anger: we haue spent our yeeres as a thought.

  22. Many a time did hee deliuer them, but they prouoked him by their counsels: therefore they were brought downe by their iniquitie.

  23. Yet hee sawe when they were in affliction, and he heard their crie.

  24. And he remembred his couenant towarde them and repented according to the multitude of his mercies,

  25. I haue heard Ephraim lamenting thus, Thou hast corrected me, and I was chastised as an vntamed calfe: conuert thou me, and I shalbe conuerted: for thou art the Lord my God.
