  1. And tempted God in their heartes in requiring meate for their lust.

  11. And hee made it fall in the middes of their campe euen round about their habitations.

  12. So they did eate and were well filled: for he gaue them their desire.

  13. They were not turned from their lust, but the meate was yet in their mouthes,

  14. When the wrath of God came euen vpon them, and slew the strongest of them, and smote downe the chosen men in Israel.

  15. For all this, they sinned stil, and beleeued not his wonderous woorkes.

  16. Remember his marueilous woorkes, that he hath done, his wonders and the iudgements of his mouth,

  17. Our fathers vnderstoode not thy wonders in Egypt, neither remembred they the multitude of thy mercies, but rebelled at the Sea, euen at the red sea.

  18. And he rebuked the red Sea, and it was dryed vp, and he led them in the deepe, as in the wildernesse.

  19. And he saued them from ye aduersaries hand, and deliuered them from ye hand of the enemie.

  20. And the waters couered their oppressours: not one of them was left.

  21. Then beleeued they his wordes, and sang prayse vnto him.

  22. Therefore behold, I wil againe doe a marueilous worke in this people, euen a marueilous worke, and a wonder: for the wisdome of their wise men shall perish, and the vnderstanding of their prudent men shalbe hid.

  23. Which hast set signes and wonders in the land of Egypt vnto this day, and in Israel, and among all men, and hast made thee a Name, as appeareth this day,

  24. And hast brought thy people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signes, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, with a stretched out arme, and with great terrour,

  25. Also the King answered vnto Daniel, and said, I know of a trueth that your God is a God of gods, and the Lord of Kings, and the reueiler of secrets, seeing thou couldest open this secret.
