  1. That hee might redeeme them which were vnder the Law, that we might receiue the adoption of the sonnes.

  2. But nowe in Christ Iesus, ye which once were farre off, are made neere by the blood of Christ.

  3. For he is our peace, which hath made of both one, and hath broken the stoppe of the partition wall,

  4. In abrogating through his flesh the hatred, that is, the Lawe of commandements which standeth in ordinances, for to make of twaine one newe man in himselfe, so making peace,

  5. And that he might reconcile both vnto God in one body by his crosse, and slay hatred thereby,

  6. And came, and preached peace to you which were afarre off, and to them that were neere.

  7. For through him we both haue an entrance vnto the Father by one Spirit.

  8. For it pleased the Father, that in him should all fulnesse dwell,

  9. And through peace made by that blood of that his crosse, to reconcile to himselfe through him, through him, I say, all thinges, both which are in earth, and which are in heauen.

  10. And you which were in times past strangers and enemies, because your mindes were set in euill workes, hath he nowe also reconciled,

  11. In that body of his flesh through death, to make you holy, and vnblameable and without fault in his sight,

  12. For God hath not appointed vs vnto wrath, but to obtaine saluation by the meanes of our Lord Iesus Christ,

  13. Which died for vs, that whether we wake or sleepe, we should liue together with him.

  14. For there is one God, and one Mediatour betweene God and man, which is the man Christ Iesus,

  15. Who gaue himselfe a ransome for all men, to be that testimonie in due time,

  16. Neither by the blood of goates and calues: but by his owne blood entred he in once vnto the holy place, and obteined eternall redemption for vs.

  17. For if the blood of bulles and of goates, and the ashes of an heifer, sprinkling them that are vncleane, sanctifieth as touching the purifying of the flesh,

  18. How much more shall the blood of Christ which through the eternall Spirit offered himselfe without fault to God, purge your conscience from dead workes, to serue the liuing God?

  19. And for this cause is he the Mediatour of the newe Testament, that through death which was for the redemption of the transgressions that were in the former Testament, they which were called, might receiue the promise of eternall inheritance.

  20. Not that he should offer himselfe often, as the hie Priest entred into the Holy place euery yeere with other blood,

  21. (For then must he haue often suffred since the foundation of the world) but now in the end of the world hath he bene made manifest, once to put away sinne by the sacrifice of him selfe.

  22. For the Law hauing the shadowe of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can neuer with those sacrifices, which they offer yeere by yeere continually, sanctifie the commers thereunto.

  23. For would they not then haue ceased to haue bene offered, because that the offerers once purged, should haue had no more conscience of sinnes?

  24. But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance againe of sinnes euery yeere.

  25. For it is vnpossible that the blood of bulles and goates should take away sinnes.
