  1. Therefore she called that well, the well of him that liveth and seeth me. The same is between Cades and Barad.

  10. And when he had drunk, she said: I will draw water for thy camels also, till they all drink.

  11. And pouring out the pitcher into the troughs, she ran back to the well to draw water; and having drawn, she gave to all the camels.

  12. And I came today to the well of water, and said: O Lord God of my master, Abraham, if thou hast prospered my way, wherein I now walk,

  13. Stopped up at that time all the wells, that the servants of his father, Abraham, had digged, filling them up with earth:

  14. And he digged again other wells, which the servants of his father, Abraham, had digged, and which, after his death, the Philistines had of old stopped up: and he called them by the same names, by which his father before had called them.

  15. But there also the herdsmen of Gerara strove against the herdsmen of Isaac, saying: It is our water. Wherefore he called the name of the well, on occasion of that which had happened, Calumny.

  16. And they digged also another; and for that they quarrelled likewise, and he called the name of it, Enmity.

We will not go through the fields, nor through the vineyards, we will not drink the waters of thy wells, but we will go by the common highway, neither turning aside to the right hand, nor to the left, till we are past thy borders.
