  1. He wilt keep the salvation of the righteous, and protect them that walk in simplicity,

  2. Who leave the right way, and walk by dark ways:

  3. For they that are upright, shall dwell in the earth; and the simple shall continue in it.

  4. He that walketh sincerely, walketh confidently: but he that perverteth his ways, shall be manifest.

  5. The strength of the upright is the way of the Lord: and fear to them that work evil.

  6. The simplicity of the just shall guide them: and the deceitfulness of the wicked shall destroy them.

  7. The justice of the righteous shall deliver them: and the unjust shall be caught in their own snares.

  8. By the blessing of the just the city shall be exalted: and by the mouth of the wicked it shall be overthrown.

  9. A perverse heart is abominable to the Lord: and his will is in them that walk sincerely.

  11. Justice keepeth the way of the innocent: but wickedness overthroweth the sinner.

  12. He that walketh in the right way, and feareth God, is despised by him that goeth by an infamous way.

  13. The house of the wicked shall be destroyed: but the tabernacles of the just shall flourish.

  14. The victims of the wicked are abominable to the Lord: the vows of the just are acceptable.

  15. Folly is joy to the fool: and the wise man maketh straight his steps.

  16. The path of the just departeth from evils: he that keepeth his soul keepeth his way.

  17. Better is the poor man, that walketh in his simplicity, than a rich man that is perverse in his lips and unwise.

  18. The wicked man impudently hardeneth his face: but he that is righteous, correcteth his way.

  19. Better is the poor man walking in his simplicity, than the rich in crooked ways.

  20. He that deceiveth the just in a wicked way, shall fall in his own destruction: and the upright shall possess his goods.

  21. He that walketh uprightly, shall be saved: he that is perverse in his ways, shall fall at once.

  22. Bloodthirsty men hate the upright: but just men seek his soul.

  23. He that nourisheth his servant delicately from his childhood, afterwards shall find him stubborn.

  24. Which yet my soul seeketh, and I have not found it. One man among a thousand I have found, a woman among them all I have not found.

  25. I am black but beautiful, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Cedar, as the curtains of Solomon.
