And they used Abram well for her sake. And he had sheep and oxen and he asses, and men servants, and maid servants, and she asses, and camels.
And he was very rich in possession of gold and silver.
But Lot also, who was with Abram, had flocks of sheep, and herds of beasts, and tents.
Whereupon also there arose a strife between the herdsmen of Abram and of Lot. And at that time the Chanaanite and the Pherezite dwelled in that country.
And the Lord answered, and said: Take me a cow of three years old, and a she-goat of three years. and a ram of three years, a turtle also, and a pigeon.
And he himself ran to the herd, and took from thence a calf, very tender and very good, and gave it to a young man, who made haste and boiled it.
And Abimelech took sheep and oxen, and servants and handmaids, and gave to Abraham: and restored to him Sara his wife,
And he had possessions of sheep and of herds, and a very great family. Wherefore the Palestines envying him,
Isaac had scarce ended his words, when, Jacob being now gone out abroad, Esau came,
Thirty milch camels with their colts, forty kine, and twenty bulls, twenty she-asses, and ten of their foals.
Out of which came up seven kine, very beautiful and fat: and they fed in marshy places.
Other seven also came up out of the river, ill-favoured, and lean fleshed: and they fed on the very bank of the river, in green places:
The seven beautiful kine, and the seven full ears, are seven years of plenty: and both contain the same meaning of the dream.
Behold, there shall come seven years of great plenty in the whole land of Egypt:
And the house of Joseph with his brethren, except their children, and their flocks and herds, which they left in the land of Gessen.
Moses said: We will go with our young and old, with our sons and daughters, with our sheep and herds: for it is the solemnity of the Lord our God.
Your sheep and herds take along with you, as you demanded, and departing bless me.
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house; neither shalt thou desire his wife, nor his servant, nor his handmaid, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is his.
You shall make an altar of earth unto me, and you shall offer upon it your holocausts and peace offerings, your sheep and oxen, in every place where the memory of my name shall be: I will come to thee, and will bless thee.
If an ox gore a man or a woman, and they die, he shall be stoned: and his flesh shall not be eaten, but the owner of the ox shall be quit.
But if the ox was wont to push with his horn yesterday, and the day before, and they warned his master, and he did not shut him up, and he shall kill a man or a woman: then the ox shall be stoned, and his owner also shall be put to death.
And if they set a price upon him, he shall give for his life whatsoever is laid upon him.
If he have gored a son, or a daughter, he shall fall under the like sentence.
If he assault a bondman or bondwoman, he shall give thirty sicles of silver to their master, and the ox shall be stoned.
If one man's ox gore another man's ox, and he die: they shall sell the live ox, and shall divide the price, and the carcass of that which died they shall part between them:
