  1. Don't thrust me away from your presence, don't take your Ruach Kodesh away from me.

  2. Restore my joy in your salvation, and let a willing spirit uphold me.

  3. For I will pour water on the thirsty land and streams on the dry ground; I will pour my Spirit on your descendants, my blessing on your offspring.

  4. They will spring up among the grass like willows on the riverbanks.

  5. However, they rebelled, they grieved his Holy Spirit; so he became their enemy and himself fought against them.

  9. Then the angel that had been speaking with me returned and roused me, as if he were waking someone up from being asleep,

  10. and asked me, "What do you see?" I answered, "I've been looking at a menorah; it's all of gold, with a bowl at its top, seven lamps on it, and seven tubes leading to the lamps at its top.

  11. Next to it are two olive trees, one on the right side of the bowl and the other on its left."

  12. I then asked the angel speaking with me, "What are these, my Lord?" The angel speaking with me said,

  13. "Don't you know what these are?" I said, "No, my Lord."

  14. Then he answered me, "This is the word of ADONAI to Z'rubavel: 'Not by force, and not by power, but by my Spirit,' says ADONAI-Tzva'ot.

  15. 'What are you, you big mountain? Before Z'rubavel you will become a plain; and he will put the capstone in place, as everyone shouts, "It's beautiful! Beautiful!"'

  16. As soon as Yeshua had been immersed, he came up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, he saw the Spirit of God coming down upon him like a dove,

  17. and a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; I am well pleased with him."

  18. There was in Yerushalayim a man named Shim`on. This man was a tzaddik, he was devout, he waited eagerly for God to comfort Isra'el, and the Ruach HaKodesh was upon him.

  19. It had been revealed to him by the Ruach HaKodesh that he would not die before he had seen the Messiah of ADONAI.

  20. Prompted by the Spirit, he went into the Temple courts; and when the parents brought in the child Yeshua to do for him what the Torah required,

  21. Yeshua answered, “Yes, indeed, I tell you that unless a person is born from water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God.

  22. What is born from the flesh is flesh, and what is born from the Spirit is spirit.

  23. Whoever puts his trust in me, as the Scripture says, rivers of living water will flow from his inmost being!”

  24. (Now he said this about the Spirit, whom those who trusted in him were to receive later — the Spirit had not yet been given, because Yeshua had not yet been glorified.)

  25. and I will ask the Father, and he will give you another comforting Counselor like me, the Spirit of Truth, to be with you forever.
