But now, I am coming to you; and I say these things while I am still in the world so that they may have my joy made complete in themselves.

I don’t ask you to take them out of the world, but to protect them from the Evil One.

Set them apart for holiness by means of the truth — your word is truth.

Just as you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world.

that they may all be one. Just as you, Father, are united with me and I with you, I pray that they may be united with us, so that the world may believe that you sent me.

The glory which you have given to me, I have given to them; so that they may be one, just as we are one —

I united with them and you with me, so that they may be completely one, and the world thus realize that you sent me, and that you have loved them just as you have loved me.

“Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am; so that they may see my glory, which you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.

Righteous Father, the world has not known you, but I have known you, and these people have known that you sent me.

I made your name known to them, and I will continue to make it known; so that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I myself may be united with them.”

Yeshua said to Kefa, “Put your sword back in its scabbard! This is the cup the Father has given me; am I not to drink it?”

The Judeans answered him, “We have a law; according to that law, he ought to be put to death, because he made himself out to be the Son of God.”

After Yeshua had taken the wine, he said, “It is accomplished!” And, letting his head droop, he delivered up his spirit.

“Stop holding onto me,” Yeshua said to her, “because I haven’t yet gone back to the Father. But go to my brothers, and tell them that I am going back to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.”

“Shalom aleikhem!” Yeshua repeated. “Just as the Father sent me, I myself am also sending you.”

T’oma answered him, “My Lord and my God!”

But these which have been recorded are here so that you may trust that Yeshua is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by this trust you may have life because of who he is.

He said this to indicate the kind of death by which Kefa would bring glory to God. Then Yeshua said to him, “Follow me!”

After his death he showed himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. During a period of forty days they saw him, and he spoke with them about the Kingdom of God.

At one of these gatherings, he instructed them not to leave Yerushalayim but to wait for “what the Father promised, which you heard about from me.

He answered, “You don’t need to know the dates or the times; the Father has kept these under his own authority.

Jews by birth and proselytes; Jews from Crete and from Arabia. . . ! How is it that we hear them speaking in our own languages about the great things God has done?”

‘Adonai says: “In the Last Days, I will pour out from my Spirit upon everyone. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.

Even on my slaves, both men and women, will I pour out from my Spirit in those days; and they will prophesy.

I will perform miracles in the sky above and signs on the earth below — blood, fire and thick smoke.
