  10. “Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.

  11. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

  12. “First let the children have their fill,” He said. “For it is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”

  13. “Yes, Lord,” she replied, “even the dogs under the table eat the children’s crumbs.”

  14. Then Jesus told her, “Because of this answer, you may go. The demon has left your daughter.”

  15. And she went home and found her child lying on the bed, and the demon was gone.

  16. “If You can?” echoed Jesus. “All things are possible to him who believes!”

  17. Immediately the boy’s father cried out, “I do believe; help my unbelief!”

  18. “Truly I tell you that if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and has no doubt in his heart but believes that it will happen, it will be done for him.

  19. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

  20. Why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ but not do what I say?

  21. I will show you what he is like who comes to Me and hears My words and acts on them:

  22. He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid his foundation on the rock. When the flood came, the torrent crashed against that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.

  23. But the one who hears My words and does not act on them is like a man who built his house on ground without a foundation. The torrent crashed against that house, and immediately it fell—and great was its destruction!”

  24. When the centurion heard about Jesus, he sent some Jewish elders to ask Him to come and heal his servant.
