  10. Awake, O north wind, and come, O south wind. Breathe on my garden and spread the fragrance of its spices. Let my beloved come into his garden and taste its choicest fruits.

  11. Then I passed by and saw you, and you were indeed old enough for love. So I spread My cloak over you and covered your nakedness. I pledged Myself to you, entered into a covenant with you, and you became Mine, declares the Lord GOD.

  12. Then I bathed you with water, rinsed off your blood, and anointed you with oil.

  13. I clothed you in embroidered cloth and gave you sandals of fine leather. I wrapped you in fine linen and covered you with silk.

  14. I adorned you with jewelry, and I put bracelets on your wrists and a chain around your neck.

  15. I put a ring in your nose, earrings on your ears, and a beautiful crown upon your head.

  16. So you were adorned with gold and silver, and your clothing was made of fine linen, silk, and embroidered cloth. You ate fine flour, honey, and oil. You became very beautiful and rose to be queen.

  17. Your fame spread among the nations on account of your beauty, for it was perfect in the splendor I bestowed on you, declares the Lord GOD.

  18. “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.

  19. Five of them were foolish, and five were wise.

  20. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take along any extra oil.

  21. But the wise ones took oil in flasks along with their lamps.

  22. When the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and fell asleep.

  23. At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’

  24. Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps.

  25. The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’
