  1. Then John testified, “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove and resting on Him.

  11. The next day Jesus decided to set out for Galilee. Finding Philip, He told him, “Follow Me.”

  12. Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the One Moses wrote about in the Law, the One the prophets foretold—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”

  13. When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, He said of him, “Here is a true Israelite, in whom there is no deceit.”

  14. “How do You know me?” Nathanael asked. Jesus replied, “Before Philip called you, I saw you under the fig tree.”

  15. “Rabbi,” Nathanael answered, “You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”

  16. Jesus said to him, “Do you believe just because I told you I saw you under the fig tree? You will see greater things than these.”

  17. Then He declared, “Truly, truly, I tell you, you will all see heaven open and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”

  18. On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there,

  19. and Jesus and His disciples had also been invited to the wedding.

  20. When the wine ran out, Jesus’ mother said to Him, “They have no more wine.”

  21. “Woman, why does this concern us?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.”

  22. His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever He tells you.”

  23. Jesus told the servants, “Fill the jars with water.” So they filled them to the brim.

  24. “Now draw some out,” He said, “and take it to the master of the banquet.” They did so,

  25. Jesus performed this, the first of His signs, at Cana in Galilee. He thus revealed His glory, and His disciples believed in Him.
