  14. Blessed are ye when men shall reproach you, and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

  15. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets that were before you.

  16. Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost its savor, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under foot of men.

  22. And why are ye anxious concerning raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

  23. yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

  24. But if God doth so clothe the grass of the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

  25. Be not therefore anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
