  1. now, then, may we go forth unto him without the camp, his reproach bearing;

  2. and let the endurance have a perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire--in nothing lacking;

  3. Happy the man who doth endure temptation, because, becoming approved, he shall receive the crown of the life, which the Lord did promise to those loving Him.

  10. that the proof of your faith--much more precious than of gold that is perishing, and through fire being approved--may be found to praise, and honour, and glory, in the revelation of Jesus Christ,

  11. Be sober, vigilant, because your opponent the devil, as a roaring lion, doth walk about, seeking whom he may swallow up,

  12. wherefore, the rather, brethren, be diligent to make stedfast your calling and choice, for these things doing, ye may never stumble,

  13. for so, richly shall be superadded to you the entrance into the age-during reign of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

  14. Ye, then, beloved, knowing before, take heed, lest, together with the error of the impious being led away, ye may fall from your own stedfastness,

  15. and increase ye in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ; to him is the glory both now, and to the day of the age! Amen.

  24. and he shall rule them with a rod of iron--as the vessels of the potter they shall be broken--as I also have received from my Father;

  25. and I will give to him the morning star.
