  1. Or--he doth take hold on My strength, He doth make peace with Me, Peace he doth make with Me.

  2. And the wicked--when he turneth back From all his sins that he hath done, And he hath kept all My statutes, And hath done judgment and righteousness, He doth surely live, he doth not die.

  3. All his transgressions that he hath done Are not remembered to him, In his righteousness that he hath done he liveth.

  4. Do I at all desire the death of the wicked? An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah, Is it not in his turning back from his way--And he hath lived?

  5. And thou, son of man, say unto the house of Israel: Rightly ye have spoken, saying: Surely our transgressions and our sins are on us, And in them we are wasting away, How, then, do we live?

  6. Say unto them, I live--an affirmation of the Lord Jehovah, I delight not in the death of the wicked, But--in the turning of the wicked from his way, And he hath lived, Turn back, turn back, from your evil ways, Yea, why do ye die, O house of Israel?

  7. And thou, son of man, say unto the sons of thy people: The righteousness of the righteous doth not deliver him in the day of his transgression, And the wickedness of the wicked, He doth not stumble for it in the day of his turning from his wickedness, And the righteous is not able to live in it in the day of his sinning.

  8. In My saying of the righteous: He surely liveth, And--he hath trusted on his righteousness, And he hath done perversity, All his righteous acts are not remembered, And for his perversity that he hath done, For it he doth die.

  9. And in My saying to the wicked: Thou surely diest, And--he hath turned back from his sin, And hath done judgment and righteousness,

  10. (The pledge the wicked restoreth, plunder he repayeth,) In the statutes of life he hath walked, So as not to do perversity, He surely liveth--he doth not die.

  11. None of his sin that he hath sinned is remembered to him, Judgment and righteousness he hath done, He doth surely live.

  12. `Happy the mourning--because they shall be comforted.

  13. `For, if ye may forgive men their trespasses He also will forgive you--your Father who is in the heavens;

  14. but if ye may not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

  15. `Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you;

  16. for every one who is asking doth receive, and he who is seeking doth find, and to him who is knocking it shall be opened.

  17. `Or what man is of you, of whom, if his son may ask a loaf--a stone will he present to him?

  18. and if a fish he may ask--a serpent will he present to him?

  19. if, therefore, ye being evil, have known good gifts to give to your children, how much more shall your Father who is in the heavens give good things to those asking him?

  20. `Come unto me, all ye labouring and burdened ones, and I will give you rest,

  21. take up my yoke upon you, and learn from me, because I am meek and humble in heart, and ye shall find rest to your souls,

  22. for my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.'

  23. a bruised reed he shall not break, and smoking flax he shall not quench, till he may put forth judgment to victory,

  24. Because of this I say to you, all sin and evil speaking shall be forgiven to men, but the evil speaking of the Spirit shall not be forgiven to men.

  25. for the Son of Man did come to save the lost.
