but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men.

And being found in human form, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, yes, the death of the cross.

Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name;

that at the name of Yeshua every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth,

and that every tongue should confess that Yeshua the Messiah is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

and have put on the new man, who is being renewed in knowledge after the image of his Creator,

where there can’t be Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, bondservant, freeman; but Messiah is all, and in all.

Since then the children have shared in flesh and blood, he also himself in the same way partook of the same, that through death he might bring to nothing him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,

and might deliver all of them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

For such a high priest was fitting for us: holy, guiltless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

who doesn’t need, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices daily, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. For he did this once for all, when he offered up himself.

For the Torah appoints men as high priests who have weakness, but the word of the oath which came after the Torah appoints a Son forever who has been perfected.

Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come (in the scroll of the book it is written of me) to do your will, O God.’”

Previously saying, “Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin you didn’t desire, neither had pleasure in them” (those which are offered according to the Torah),

then he has said, “Behold, I have come to do your will.” He takes away the first, that he may establish the second,

but he, when he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God;

from that time waiting until his enemies are made the footstool of his feet.

For consider him who has endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, that you don’t grow weary, fainting in your souls.

You have not yet resisted to blood, striving against sin;

but just as he who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all of your behavior;

because it is written, “You shall be holy; for I am holy.”

For you who believe therefore is the honor, but for those who are disobedient, “The stone which the builders rejected, has become the chief cornerstone,”

and, “a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense.” For they stumble at the word, being disobedient, to which also they were appointed.

For to this you were called, because Messiah also suffered for us, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps,
