Jethro said, “Blessed be the LORD, who has delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of Pharaoh; who has delivered the people from under the hand of the Egyptians.

Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods because of the thing in which they dealt arrogantly against them.”

I will break the pride of your power, and I will make your sky like iron, and your soil like brass.

But you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth; that he may establish his covenant which he swore to your fathers, as at this day.

It shall be, if you shall forget the LORD your God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that you shall surely perish.

As the nations that the LORD makes to perish before you, so you shall perish; because you wouldn’t listen to the LORD your God’s voice.
