  1. And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:

  2. For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

  3. ¶ But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah.

  4. Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

  5. ¶ The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,

  6. And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.

  7. And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.

  8. Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.

  9. Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:

  10. And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

  11. So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.

  12. And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them.

  13. Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.

  14. So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

  15. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

  16. But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.

  17. I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.

  18. But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose.

  19. ¶ The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,

  20. Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

  21. For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

  22. But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,

  23. I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

  24. And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

  25. And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?
