  1. It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:

  2. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

  3. For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,

  11. Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

  12. According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

  13. Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

  14. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

  15. ¶ Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:

  16. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

  17. And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
